Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

Very Lovely Very Versailles

Hi Stampin' Friends!
How are you! Can you believe we are on the other side of the 4th of July? I sure can't. It always feels like "halfway" thru summer, although that's not entirely accurate. There is lots more fun to be had, just hope the good weather and clear skies hold out.  We live in forest fire country and that can make for some miserable air later in August. Meanwhile, I'm breathing it all in...

Have you noticed the "Very Versailles" stamp set on page 113 in the Annual Catalog? It's a stunner if you like a vintage, more feminine and soft style. You can obviously do lots with it, but the vintage look is made to order!  I had some fun with this set last week and wanted to share what I came up with:

I love to layer stamp, that is stamp different images on top of each other, especially darker things on lighter things. I used the cursive stamp as my background, using Seaside Spray ink on Seaside Spray paper. I then stamped the gorgeous leaves in Soft Suede. This is a simple card, but it packs a punch with the fun fonts and style.

For this card, I wanted to emphasize the vintage look with "burned edges" that I tore and daubed with Soft Suede ink. I also used the Birch background stamp. My other colors incorporate two of the new In Colors for 2019-2021, Terracotta Tile and Pretty Peacock. Aren't they a pretty combination?

I thought the branches would look good hanging, as if from a shelf, so I used some of the retired "Wood Textures" paper to anchor my leaves. I also used the new background stamp "All Wired Up" in a soft Sahara Sand ink.

For my last idea, I wanted to see what the leaves would like with white sparkle embossing powder and heat embossing. That was really fun! The picture doesn't quite do it justice, but it's really gorgeous.

Sometimes it's fun to take a stamp set and see what you can come up with. I'm glad the vintage style is making a bit of a comeback because it's a favorite of mine!

I also want to remind you about Bonus Days!  Don't miss out!  During July, for every $50 purchase, you'll receive a coupon code via email for $5 good towards a purchase in August. Buy now, save later!  You need to save your coupon code emails so you can use those codes in August so be sure to do that. Do you still have a wish list for the annual catalog that came out in June?  You'll save some money if you make some purchases now!  To go to the online store, simply click on "shop now" at the right margin and you'll be there. The products are easily categorized for you and you can always contact me if you have any questions. Stamping is such a fun hobby and there are simple ways to get started which don't require a big investment. Start with a kit! Start with a Paper Pumpkin subscription!  The point is to just start and see if you love it!  I think you will....

I've listed my supplies below if you want to make any of these cards I've shown today, or at least get the stamp set. You are welcome to copy my ideas and make your own!

Happy Stampin'!
Sarah

  1. Your cards are beautiful. You have a “good eye” for design.
