Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

Big Sky Stampin' Stars team get together with a special guest!

Hi Friends,
I've had a few days to absorb all that happened on Saturday when I held a team get together at my house. I was surprised and delighted that our area Demonstrator Development Manager, Donna Griffith, from Stampin'Up! decided to come as well!  I had invited her in April, thinking it was a real long shot, but she was able to work it into her schedule and I can't even express how much fun we had. What an honor to share what we do with her and have her take her experience back to the Stampin'Up! headquarters, as well as some Bequet caramels we sent with her to pass out to employees!

One of the best aspects of having someone recruit under you in any direct sales company is the relationships you start to form. When someone else joins and so forth, the team grows in experience, background, geography and friendship. All of it comes together in a face to face get together as well as social medial connections. That makes for some pretty powerful and positive life experiences that we are all benefitting from.  We started the morning with some great food that everyone brought to share. While we were eating, I asked them to share their name, where they were from and how long they had been with Stampin'Up!  The stories had different details but one common thing was said over and over, "I don't think I would have met any of you without Stampin'Up! in my life!"  SU is what connects us and has made us good friends, which is so amazing!  Our paths probably would not have crossed without this common interest and passion in stamping and crafting.  How incredible it is that something so fun has become so critical to our well being because of the relationships. We all feel like we belong to something (aside from the many other ways we identify ourselves of course) that is fun, creative, purposeful and rewarding.

We spent some time talking about the new In-Colors and even tried our hand at being "color coaches" and seeing where the new In-Colors fit in with our current line up of colors. We talked about the company's demonstrator "levels" and how to move forward. We talked about other new products and the new catalog which we can't wait to introduce to the world on June 4th. We also had the opportunity to make a card from the upcoming "Hugs From Shelli" Paper Pumpkin kit. Be sure to subscribe for that by Friday if you want one of your own!  It's awesome!!

There was a lot of talk, laughter and camaraderie as we also shared swaps we had created with each other. I love the enthusiasm and genuine awe and appreciation that is expressed when everyone hands out their swap to their co-demonstrators. It really doesn't matter if we are our own best customer or have a steady customer base or even if we have recruited someone ourselves. It always comes back to being amazed at others' creations and curiosity at "how did you do that"!  How fun to share our great ideas and help others grow at the same time.

We had a great day and can't wait for the next time. Want to join us?  It's easy and I can share all the details with you, just contact me in the comments below or via text, phone or email and we can see if being a SU demo is a great idea for you!

I'm still reliving all the wonderful moments and conversations that took place on Saturday and can't wait for the next time!

Happy Stampin'!
Sarah
