Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

Wonderful Romance

Hi Stampers, happy February!
I've been anxiously awaiting February's arrival as it means the release of the 2nd of Sale-A-Bration products is getting closer, February 15th. I got to see the products today and you will love them!  They are very innovative and coordinate well with the SAB products you already possibly have and love.  I ordered a few things and will highlight them when I get them!

Today I have a special suite to share with you. It's called "Wonderful Romance" and this is probably my favorite bundle in the new 2019 Occasions Catalog because of the components of the suite that coordinate with the stamps and framelits. I tried to use most of them in my cards below so I'll talk about them each in detail as I show you my ideas:

This card was made at a card class in January. The women loved the soft color scheme and the rich details with the framelits. We used gold embossing powder to eat emboss the floral piece. This would look amazing when colored but due to the size of the class and time restrictions, we just left it alone and it still looked great with the rich, shiny gold embossing. The background uses the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder, which is absolutely gorgeous.  The "Floral Romance" Designer Series Paper is really special, including 2 different types of vellum paper. one is used in this card on the right hand background, under the sentiment. There is a soft variegated ribbon with this suite, pictured at the top with gold seals as accents. Remember the days of sealing each letter with hot wax and using an metal imprint to squish it down?  Ah, the days of junior high.... I hope you noticed the leaf die too!  It's cuts the outer perimeter, but makes a leaf impression on the leaves. This is really a sweet die!

This card features some more of the gorgeous designer series paper as well as two of my favorite framlites, the oval with the outer edge punched out and the leafy, lacy border framelit which I cut out in gold foil paper.  I kept this card somewhat monochromatic and now as I look at it, I think I should have used gold embossing powder for the sentiment. That would really coordinate nicely and make it stand out a little better.

For my last card, I wanted to see what the large floral piece looks like when colored. I used my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers and loved the shading I was able to achieve. I used some more of the DSP, which I stamped directly on.   I stuck with the suggested colors in this suite, but could easily see this in lovely blue tones or more purple and pink.

The first thing people think when they see more floral/leaf bundles is that they already have plenty. That may be and to be honest, that was my first thought. When I saw the framelits and the details of the stamp set though, I decided I really did want this set. The Designer Series Paper is reason enough to jump in. It's absolutely gorgeous and you won't believe how rich and lush it feels.  Only papercrafters get what I mean when I say this paper feels good ;) . Just ask a quilter about how fabric feels.... you'll get a paragraph!

I hope you've enjoyed my ideas for this Floral Romance suite. It's on pages 10-11 in the new 2019 Occasions Catalog and purchasing the stamp/framelit bundle alone qualifies you for a Sale-A-Bration freebie. By adding some of the other products, you can easily get to $100 and qualify for 2 SAB freebies!  If you're interested in this set or any other Stampin'Up! products, go to the online store (link is on the right side of blog) or click on any of the products in the supply list below and that will direct you to the store.  I appreciate every order and promise to do a great job making sure your questions are answered and helping you with your creative journey.

I plan to post some more this weekend so keep coming back to this blog!  You can sign up to follow me, as several of you already have, and then you won't miss a post.  Have a great weekend!

Happy Stampin'!
Sarah
