Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

Tea Time Together

Hi Stampers!
Today I have the perfect theme for the cold, snowy day.... TEA!  It's the perfect antidote for chilled bones. In fact, my diehard coffee drinking husband even brewed up some tea after a couple hours of shoveling on Sunday afternoon. Tea has been around forever and is the perfect solution for many of life's issues like being cold, being lonely, being stressed, being sick, etc.

Our new 2019 Occasions catalog and Sale-A-Bration brochure have a coordinating stamp and framelit set that will make you crave some tea time.  The stamp set is in the Occasions catalog and can be purchased. The framelits are in the SAB brochure and can be earned  as a freebie with a $100  order. I only recently got these as there were some other items on my wish list but I'm so glad I took the plunge and got them!  Here are some results from my recent afternoon of playing with them:

This card represents the most simple use of these stamps and framelits. I stamped the teapot and cup on Whisper White paper, added the floral stamps and then colored with my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. I was inspired by my background paper from the "Tea Room" Speciality Designer Series paper which comes from the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog. I am such a sucker for blue and white. I love that color combo almost more than any other! It's a little difficult to see, but I embossed my strip of Night of Navy cardstock with the Cable Knit embossing folder, just for some texture.  Don't forget about our little scallop punches! They are perfect for smaller sentiments!

For my second idea, I again stamped the teapot and cup on Very Vanilla card stock this time, but them embossed the cut outs with the "Falling Snow" embossing folder. What stuck in my mind was a milk glass set of dishes my mom had for years that had white bumps all over them. It gave me a nostalgic feeling to remember those dishes and my mom.  I also stamped the flower and cut that out with a separate framelit. I again used the "Tea Room" paper, this time with a different color scheme.

For my last one, I wanted to create a china pattern for the teapot and cup. I looked through a lot of Designer Series Paper and then settled on some vellum from the "Floral Romance" paper set in the 2019 Occasions catalog. I did see this idea on Pinterest and loved the look. This time, I stamped with black Stazon ink because I didn't want my ink to smear on the vellum paper. This card takes advantage of some of the other sentiments included in the stamp set, specifically referring to Mother's Day.  My background "wood" paper is also from the "Floral Romance set. You really should get that paper!  It's so wonderful!

There have been several "tea" themed stamps and products over the years but I think that just shows how timeless the concept is!  In fact, I've just finished my morning freezing smoothie so I'm off to brew some tea and warm up!

If you love this set or any other products from the Stampin'Up! line, I would love to be your demonstrator.
