Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

Cheers to the New Year and Sale-A-Bration!

Hi Stampin' Friends!
Are you all ready to start your new year?  Have some resolutions and goals been going through your head?  You are not alone! I'm sure most of us are seeking a reset in some areas of our life and I'm no exception. January is the perfect time to take up some new habits/activities, drop the old ones that aren't working and rethink life. I could get really philosophical here but that's probably not why you're reading this blog so lets get to a card!

January-March is also the special time of year known as "Sale-a-Bration" in the Stampin'Up! world. This is an annual promotion that provides extra incentives and benefits for those of you who would like to shop, host or join. I'll be explaining all three many times over the course of the new year but just know you can always check the details out in the SAB brochure, located to the right ----->>>>

I have been working on some samples with some of the new product but have barely scratched the surface so far. The holidays always compete for my attention and usually win, just as they should!  I have a different sort of card today, at leas different theme for me. I'm not usually drawn to Asian-inspired art, themes or culture as I don't really have any point of reference. I've lived in a small triangle of the world (western SD, Wyoming and SW Montana) my whole life and Asian related things just haven't gotten my attention, other than some good Chinese or Thai food haha!

One of the SAB free products is a stamp/embossing folder bundle, requiring a purchase of at least $100. I haven't played with the embossing folder yet but did venture out on a card. Here it is:

I also combined some other product with this card. The bundle is called "Power of Hope" and includes the stamp images I used above, plus more as well as an embossing folder that looks like pavers in a yard or sidewalk.  I decided on using the Petal Pink and Pool Party color scheme as soon as I looked at the "Parisian Blossoms" Specialty Designer Series Paper. This paper is so pretty and features Champagne fold accents on certain sides of it.  My die cut flowers were made with a die from the "Timeless Tropical" bundle dies. Both are new products in the Jan-June Mini Catalog which also launched on January 3rd.  I used my Stampin' Blends to color and added some Champagne rhinestone accents to the flowers. I was really happy with this out-of-the box theme (for me) and am ready to take on some more ideas and designs.

As you have winter stretched out before you, is that a good thing or a dreaded thing?  Some people love winter and all the outside activities as well as curling up with a good book in front of a fire. Other people flee winter and just avoid it for a few months. There are also some people who can't flee but don't particularly enjoy it at all. Maybe a hobby or past time is what you need to pass the days and evenings.  Rubber stamping came to me later in my life when I was looking for something to do with my hands that didn't take a ton of money or time but would feel satisfying s well. It's a fun activity and with the various tools and resources, super easy to pick up and catch on. I'd love to introduce you to stamping if you've never tried it!  Please contact me via a message here or text or email and we can chat about what you are looking for. If you don't know that yet, I can make some suggestions of ways to "do" stamping and go from there. No prior experience in any craft is required, honestly. I have taken some of the least crafty people in the world and shown them a way to create something handmade to be proud out and not frustrated with the process or overwhelmed with the task. It's fun and rewarding.

I've listed my supplies below for this card and look forward to sharing so much more with you as SAB progresses. Bring on the New Year!
Happy Stampin',
Sarah
