Big Sky Stampin' Papercrafting

I have been a crafter most of my life, starting in about 8th grade when I tried to embroider some frogs on a quilt, that I never finished! Although the list of what "I never finished" is long, and includes cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, quilting and more, my latest obsession is paper! I joined Stampin'Up! as an independent demonstrator in October 2011 and have been going like crazy ever since! I offer classes in my home, do catered card parties at your home and sell my cards locally in Bozeman, Montana and around the lovely Gallatin Valley. I would love to meet and talk to you if you are interested in the papercrafting hobby or just need some unique handmade cards for a special occasion!

More You Plus Me

It feels good to be back to my routine after about 10 days away from it. I took Jeff to work bright and early at 7 a.m. (He normally goes in around 5:30 but since I'm driving, that's not happening) and the plan is that he'll call me when he's had enough.

This week, I will be getting all ready for my Valentine card buffet!  Many of the cards I have featured in my blog recently will be available to make, as well as some you might not have seen. The Buffet will go from 9 to 3 on Saturday. I will have everything you need to make your cards, including envelopes and you can create to your heart's content! I'll keep adding more information this week. Please contact me if you need an address for my home.

Today's card features a familiar Valentine stamp set I have used alot, "You Plus Me" with more of a collage-layered look. None of that is particularly novel or new, but I did stretch it a little with my color scheme. I used one color I can safely say I almost never use... Rose Red. I then combined it with Blackberry Bliss and Chocolate Chip (perhaps I was hungry?). Anyway, I loved it when I was done! So, there's your new idea for today... mixing up the color scheme a little, especially for a traditional holiday like Valentine's Day.  Here's the card:

Hope you like it! I'd love to get some comments about my work, if you are so inclined!

One more thing: Check out the current weekly deals, still available until midnight tonight, which feature the Texture Boutique embossing Machine for about $20 and alot of embossing folders!  This is perfect if your budget is small but your desire to add some embossing to your work is huge!  Go here for more details:

There will be a new set of Weekly Deals tomorrow!

Have a great day!
