Hi Friends!
One of my favorite techniques is taking a background stamp and then using the same color ink on the same color cardstock! Depending on the color and the ink saturation, the result can be bold or subtle. I decided to try it with this years' new In Colors and it came out bold! Of course, if you wanted a more subtle background look, you could ink up the stamp, then stamp off once on grid or practice paper and then stamp on the card stock with approximately 1/4 - 1/3 of the ink still on the stamp.
Anyway, here are all the new ones!
COPPER CLAY
WILD WHEAT
MOODY MAUVE
BOHO BLUE
PEBBLED PATH
I apologize for the picture quality - these were shot really quick while I was stamping. I plan to turn them into card fronts soon and then I'll take much better pictures. In case you're wondering, the background stamp I used is called "Perfectly Detailed" and it's in the new Annual Catalog that launched TODAY! Background stamps are one of my favorite tools in stamping because it can add one more layer that hints at some color or texture and my little design heart is happy when that happens!
Hope you are having a great day! I'm mildly hopeful that our snow storms are a thing of the past at least for now and we are smooth sailing into summer!
Keep On Stampin'!
