Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

So Much More to be Hoppy about!

Hey Stampers!
I'm super excited because A) The sun is shining and the sky is blue, B) The snow has stopped for now and C) It's March 1st and there are a whole lot of new reasons to shop and save with Stampin'Up!  There are some coordinating products and some new products to claim as a SAB freebie when you spend up to $50 or $100 on SU product. Let's get going with the details!

I want to share one of the products with you right off the bat that is really fun. We have the "So Hoppy Together" stamp set that was released right away in January. It's available with a purchase of at least $50. I made some cards back then but didn't realize what was coming down the pike- framelits to cut out the frogs plus a few extras!  Yesterday I played with the frogs again and love what happened!

One of the things I've been experimenting with is coloring the frogs different shades of green with my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. For this card, I used the Mint Macaron markers. I grabbed some "Nature's Poem" Designer Series Paper to set my color scheme and love how this turned out. One of my rectangle stitched framelits cut the sentiment out perfectly!

This is actually the frog that is riding the unicycle. I cut off the bike!  Here are some pics:

I've used this idea before, with other animals or snowmen. It's fun to place them so it appears they are tumbling or doing hand springs.  I used my Call Me Clover markers to color these frogs.

For my last card, I wanted to try some of the other framelits, namely the pond and lily pads. I also used a fun mirror image technique to get one frog facing the opposite direction.  To do this, simply stamp your image on the silicone sheet. I used Momento Tuxedo Black ink for this. I then laid my Very Vanilla card stock over the stamped image and pressed the paper down with my fingers. The ink transfers from the silicone sheet to the paper and you have a reverse image!  You won't be able to use the framelit as the frog is now the reverse of the original stamp but you could hand cut it out if you wanted to. I hadn't tried this technique before and I can't wait to use it some more! For these frogs, I colored them with my Old Olive markers.

In case you missed it or can't remember, here's a link to my older post with my first round of frog cards!

SO HOPPY TOGETHER - ROUND ONE!

So what else is new?  Well there are several more framelits available now for purchase that will coordinate with the SAB freebies released in January including framelits for "Hello Cupcake", "Lasting Lily" and the frogs. There is a new all occasions stamp set called "More Than Words" pictured right here:

There is also a new punch which has an oval shape to it that works perfectly for sentiments.

As if that wasn't already enough, SU released some Annual Catalog products to add the the $50 level of SAB reward. These include paper, ribbon, embellishments, embossing folder and our fun little pizza boxes!  If you love the new "Painted Seasons" Designer Series Paper, now you can get it with a $50 purchase where before it was only bundled with a coordinating stamp set for a $100 purchase.
