Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!
Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!
The month has gotten away from me! The whole country went through a deep freeze last week and I spent the time on some photo projects calling my name. It was great to have some down time and focus on that. I hope you stayed safe and warm. My part of Montana hit 46 degrees yesterday and I had some windows open in the house briefly because it felt so warm!
Today I want to share an exciting product release coming on March 2nd! It's all about butterflies and the products coordinate in a delightful and efficient way. The stamp is all one stamp, like a background stamp, with a coordinating all in one die AND matching Designer Series Paper to top it off! Butterflies are a popular theme and if you like them, you'll want to have these new additions to your stash.
I have lots to show you! I made some cards and also two videos so let's get started!
Aren't these gorgeous? As you can see there are a variety of stamped, die cut and DSP butterflies on these cards. I had so much fun playing with them and loved all the different options. Two things to know about these products. First, the stamps and coordinating die will be featured in the upcoming new Annual Catalog which premiers in May. However, secondly, the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper is only available during the early release promotion in March and April so if you love the DSP, be sure to get some!
I will have a detailed post in March about these cards but these two videos will answer many of your questions and give you a closer look at the products and cards.
Video 1 is a product overview and a demonstration of stamping and cutting that I did to make these cards.
Video 2 is an overview of the cards themselves, how I put them together, colors I used, etc. My goal is to inspire you with all the different things you can do with these butterfly products!
So, March 2nd is the day these products are available. Check back then for item numbers and more details with links to the store. I can't wait to share the fun with you!
I'm so excited today because of what I want to share! I recently ordered the "In Bloom" bundle from the Jan-June Mini Catalog because I had loved some cards I've been seeing using it. I thought just "some" of the dies had stitching on them... I had no idea they all did! Wow! Is this a fun bundle or what! Here's a card I made live on Facebook today using them. I put the video on YouTube so you can see it too!
Can you believe all the dies that result in all the flowers are leaves? I thought you'd like to see a photo of the dies before I started playing with them:
So much stitching! It's one of my favorite details for papercrafting and the dies make it easy peasy. It wasn't too long ago that we had templates with holes in them for paper piercing a stitched look in our paper that took waaaaay to long! As I said in the video, I grabbed scraps of colored card stock that I thought would look good together, although I really didn't have a plan. The leaves are cut from Just Jade, Mint Macaron and Shaded Spruce. The flowers and centers are cut from Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Terracotta Tile. My background in this card is Gray Granite, which I embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder - my current favorite!
I had so many flowers and leaves leftover, I was able to make 2 more cards. I used a piece of DSP from the "All In Good Taste" pack because I wanted a Blushing Bride background on this card. I also die cut a bow for my bouquet, which is really fun! My sentiment is from the SAB Hostess stamp set that I was able to get for free with a large order of over $300 (you can too!).
For my last card, I incorporated some DSP and the dies from the Ornate Garden collection to make a frame and background. I also used the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder on my card base. Why leave anything plan if you can add texture to it? I think that is my new motto!
The In Bloom bundle is featured on page 45 of the Jan-June Mini Catalog and although I almost never need more floral themed products, I'm so glad I bought this one! I can't wait to try different color schemes and see where that road takes me!
Thanks for stopping by! It's fun to share my creations with you and my excitement! Hope you are staying warm. It is incredibly gorgeous and sunny in my part of Montana today. Did I mention it's also below zero? That's almost normal around here!
