I feel a little bit like I just came out of a 3 month long party full of surprises, craziness and wonderful experiences! This was, by far, the best Sale-A-Bration I've ever personally had and I'm so grateful to my customers, my downline and Stampin'Up! Those of you who placed orders with me were able to take advantage of some wonderful freebies that you can enjoy for months and years to come. Those of you who decided to take the plunge and purchase a Starter Kit are now on a wonderful adventure of crafting which is all your own, whatever you want it to be! I also want to acknowledge that without Stampin'Up!, the leadership that stewards the company so well, the products that are industry leaders and the support and training from other demos, I would not be here as a demonstrator, craft, blogger and more! I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for these opportunities and look forward to so many more!
All that has gone away is only the Sale-A-Bration stamps so we still have two more months of Occasion Catalog and Annual Catalog fun. today I want to share a set I initially overlooked (I say that too often, don't I?) and now have discovered. I had a lot of fun playing with this one, matching the stamps up to create frosting on my cake and also the interesting framelits in the bundle. This set is called "Blow Out the Candles" and it is super fun!
My first card shows off many of the coordinating framelits in this bundle! There are cake, cake stand, tag topper and background confetti pieces. They were fun to experiment with. My color scheme comes from the background "Sweetest Thing" Designer Series Paper. Isn't it gorgeous! I love the shades of Coastal Cabana and Lovely Lipstick together.
My second card features the balloons! I stamped the balloons and then cut out some DSP paper for the actual balloon and put them on dimensionals, over the stamped balloons. That way, I got my strings on there and yet added some color and dimension with the cut out balloons. The gray stripe stamping at the top of the card is simply the inside stamp for the birthday candles. I just eyeballed it so my stamping is perfectly lined up but it still provided some background for me.
This card really dazzles with the color scheme! I used Pineapple Punch, Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Bermuda Bay. The stamp set is photopolymer so it's a breeze to line up your "frosting" stamps over the cake outline, as well as the candle and flame stamps over the outline. What a fun set to play with!
Celebrating birthdays never gets old and obviously, they come around every year. It's always fun to have several stamp sets to help you make a birthday card, even spur of the moment. That's why I like this set so much. I also love that you can make it be more feminine or more masculine with your color scheme.
So, what's new at Stampin'Up! now that SAB is over? I'm so glad you asked! It's the whole topic of storage! Stampin'Up! has just released some affordable storage solutions for many of your stamping supplies including ink pads, markers, reinkers and more. I'll be sharing lots about it in the future days, but here's a fun video to give you an overview!
Here's a link to shop and see the specifics about price and size:
Storage by Stampin' Up!
Let me know if you have any questions or would like me to help you design some storage solutions for you. The beauty of this system is you can start out small and add to it as you grown your stash. It's not a big investment all at once, which is really a great idea!
Whew! SAB is over but there's always more to be excited about! Hope you are off to a great Monday and I'll be back soon!
Sarah
