Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

Rise and Shine with "Home to Roost"

Hi Stampers!
Are you a morning person? Do you more or less hop out of bed with that to-do list in your head? Are you the most productive earlier in the day and then fade later on into a blob of inaction?  That would pretty much describe me most days. I love to get up and get going on the things that make up my life most days. Now that I'm retired, stamping is usually pretty close to the list. In honor of us morning peeps, I am sharing the "Home to Roost" Sale-A-Bration stamp set today!  It's a super cute set featuring a rooster. I don't live on a farm, don't own a rooster and don't want to own one, but I like their imagery in art and home decor for some reason. I have to admit I'm glad one doesn't wake me up every morning, however!

I played with this set awhile back to see what I could come up with and here's what happened:

This is a pretty classic combination of a rooster, some grass and the sun. I used the "Painted Harvest" set to create my sun. I wasn't exactly sure what colors to use in coloring the rooster, so I basically focused on my color scheme and stuck with Crumb Cake, Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight.  I think he looks pretty cute and definitely "in charge" as he struts his stuff.

For my second idea, I used a little more color on the rooster. He's okay, just not exactly as pretty as I hoped he would be. Don't you just love the tall grasses/wheat stamp as well!  I can see using that for many different projects, not just the rooster.

For my last attempt, I went with more of a monochromatic theme and stuck with Basic Black and Tranquil Tide.  Tranquil Tide is one of the In-Colors that will retire the end of May so I'm giving it lots of love before it's gone as it is one of my favorites in many years.

So, how do you get this rooster stamp you ask?  Since it's a Sale-A-Bration freebie choice, you can't purchase it, but you can get it for free with an order of $50 or more of any product that Stampin'Up! currently offers. That means the Annual Catalog, The Occasions Catalog, Paper Pumpkin prepaid subscription or the Clearance Rack. This SAB promotion lasts until the end of March but don't wait too long to plot your purchase strategy for these three months. If you spend at least $50 each month, you're entitled to 3 SAB choices, but you can double that by spending up to $100 per month and earn 6 SAB choices.   To look at the catalogs or SAB brochure, simply click on the icons on the right ---> and you'll be taken to a PDF file that you can look at or even download to your computer. If you're ready to buy, click on the "shop now" icon and you'll be taken to my online store. It's easy to shop online but I'm also happy to submit an order for you if you prefer, just contact me and we will get that rolling!

I'm going to keep posting right through the weekend with more SAB favorites so come back for more! Thanks for stopping by and seeing what I'm up to. If you are in my area, I have a catalog Launch party/Open House on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Contact me for more details or look at my Facebook Page, Big Sky Stampin', under events.
