Timeless Tulips

Hi Stampin' Friends!
Who's with me on loving tulips as a favorite flower?  I love that they come early in the spring and also remind me of some women in my life, a generation that has largely passed, who meant the world to me. They viewed a small vase of tulips as a welcoming, friendly gesture to anyone who needed a tangible hug. My other strong association of tulips is visiting the tulip fields north of Seattle where the flowers are planted like corn, blooming in all sorts of colors and varieties. They are gorgeous and not to be missed if you're ever in the area.

This year's Mini Catalog has a fun bundle called "Timeless Tulips" that incorporate a stamp set and tulip builder bunch. You can do so much with this fun set and I've only scratched the surface!

When I saw the tulip bundle, I instantly remembered the "Winds of Change" stamp set we have in the Annual catalog that features more tulips and a fabulous windmill. I stamped the windmill image on the background of my card here and covered the foreground with tulips! My embossed layer is from the new "Coastal Weave" 3D embossing folder.

My second card was actually a Take-n-Make from Onstage in November. It was my first chance to play with this bundle. Using the builder punch allows you to quickly create dimension to your card by placing some of the tulips on dimensionals while others are stamped directly on the background.

For my third card, I wanted to switch up the color palette a little and go with purples and yellows. Perhaps I was channeling my family's favorite football team, the Minnesota Vikings, or perhaps I just like this combo!  I love the gingham check prints we can get in all the colors and a border punch helped make my stamping stand out. I stamped all the tulips in Daffodil Delight (using shadow stamping for the light colored yellow) and then Gorgeous Grape. I added stems after I had stamped the tulips and then a greeting. It's a cheery card sure to brighten anyone's day.

I hope you'll take a look at this tulip bundle. Bundles that include a punch are easy to use, easy to share and easier to afford!  Our punches are high quality products that will give you many, many years of service too.
