I want to piggy back on my post from yesterday, using the Beautiful Promenade suite. I have a confession to make as well. When I first saw this set in the catalog, I didn't really like it that much. My first reaction was "ho hum... more flowers and leaves". I'm sure you've had that reaction a time or two. Then, about 4 months into the new Annual Catalog last year, I decided I really like the Designer Series Paper in the suite for it's actual photography of flowers. I knew that it would inspire some creative ideas, so I got a pack of the paper. A month or so after that, I decided I really liked the stamps, including some great sentiments, so I purchased the stamp set. I still didn't think I needed the framelits. Well, you can guess what happened then. I later decided I did in fact need the framelits and now I have it all! I played with them using the "Press N Seal" technique yesterday and then I went a little further and made some more cards, I was particularly interested in incorporating some of the "frames" of flowers in the DSP. Here's what I came up with :
Isn't the Designer Series Paper beautiful! The colors are so lush and the photography perfectly captures the flowers. In this card, you can see where I used the framelits for my flowers above and below the sentiment. I popped them up to create some dimension. By now, you probably know how invaluable the Rectangle Framelits are. I use them all.the.time. Did you notice a snuck a piece of Vellum card stock under the floral DSP layer? I thought it added a little more texture and "softness" to the card.
This card uses one of the floral "frames" in the DSP. I fussy cut it out and then stamped on the inside. I continued the "frame" idea with two more frames, made from the Stitched Square framelits. I cut the inner square left over from the frame cut in half, diagonally, and used them on my corners. My background piece is a piece of the Galvanized Silver foil paper featured in the 2018 Holiday catalog. I embossed it with the Tin Tile embossing folder.
This last card features some more framelits from the Beautiful Promenade set, including the large geometric, doily-like shape and some leaves. My sentiment framelit actually comes from the "Needlepoint Nook" suite. I want you to notice the border. There are some border pieces in the DSP and instead of cutting them straight across, I took the time to fussy cut along the tops of the flowers. Putting this on Very Vanilla cardstock instead of Whisper White made the white flowers stand out better.

I hope you enjoyed my ideas with the Beautiful Promenade set! I have no idea if the stamp/framelit bundle will be carried over into next year's catalog, but the Designer Series Paper almost certainly won't be so if you really like that, you should get it while you can!
A week from today and I will be headed to OnStage in Salt Lake City! Five of my team members are also going so we are very excited! We will be getting copies of the upcoming new catalog and hearing about the new In-Colors and more exciting products. It's always a rich time of fun, friendship and creative inspiration. I can't wait!
