So far in March, we've experienced tons of snow and tons of subzero weather. I'm doing what I can in my creative efforts to remember that sooner or later, spring will arrive! It's hard to even remember that some days as the winter has been relentless for the last month or so. While it's cold and snowy outside, I'm pretending it's bunnies, chicks and flowers on the inside!
When's the last time you took a look through the Annual Catalog? I've been focused on the 2019 Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration mostly so I tend to forget about some of the fun stuff in the AC. One of those bundles is really cute and perfect for spring. It's called "Best Bunnies". This is a bundle that includes a stamp set and a bunny builder punch that couldn't be any sweeter. I featured this as one of my card options at my "Punch Party" yesterday and everyone that came chose to make at least one of these cards! Take a look at some of the ideas I came up with:
My first card was featured yesterday at my open house. I am always looking for a way to incorporate the beautiful "Gingham Gala" Designer Series Paper! I thought the Lemon Lime Twist and Pumpkin Pie colors really looked striking together. The bunny is easy to assemble with the different body parts on the punch. One really cute feature of the stamp set is that there are 3 different bunny faces to choose from. In this example, the bunny is winking! I colored the bunny and carrots with my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers.
There's a cute magic hat image in the stamp set as well. I did have to cut it out but that was easily done. I used the confetti stamp and the "Oh My Stars" embossing folder to perk up the background and then used some of the wood DSP to create a shelf or table for the bunny and hat to sit on. If you look closely, on this bunny face, you can see his two front teeth!
This was actually the first card I made. I love the color combination of pinks and grays and that's what I used here. This bunny just has a friendly smile on his face!
For my final card, I used the other bunny image in the stamp set and the "hopping" dash lines. This bunny does not coordinate with the punch and is smaller in scale than the other one so that might work better for some ideas. I avoided pinks and blues to make this a baby card that could be used for either gender.
There are some other fun images in the stamp set including a fluffy tale, a birthday hat and a bow tie. All of that combines to create some really fun ideas and the punch brings it to life with ease. If you need a little more whimsy in your life, this might be a good bundle for you to try out! It's on page 36 of the annual catalog. There's a supply list at the end of the blog post for your convenience. You can click on any item and it will take you to the online store!
I'm excited because today I'm signing up another new demo to my team, Big Sky Stampin' Stars! We are 14 strong at this point and I love my team! We get together monthly for lunch at a local restaurant or a more extended team event at my house or one of the other's. We share ideas, share swaps, share questions, play games, train on new products and events and just have fun. We have a private Facebook group as a way to connect us as we all live in different communities and not just in Montana. If you love to stamp and want to be part of a fun, low pressure as far as sales and really talented stamping group, consider joining us! It's especially tempting now with the Starter Kit costing only $99 and with that, you get to choose $175 worth of whatever product you want, with no further obligation! I would love to chat with you and see if belonging to my team is a good fit for you. Most of the team have signed up because they love to stamp, love to hang out with stampers and enjoy a 20-25% discount on SU products. They aren't really working it as a business and mostly just in it for their own fun and benefits. Contact me via phone, text or email and we'll start a conversation!
This morning I have a ton of clean up and organizing to do after yesterday's open house. My creativity is best served if I start with most everything back where it belongs in my stamp room! Thanks for "hopping" by to see what I'm up to! It's always a pleasure to share with you!
Happy Stampin'!
Sarah
