It finally feels like we are getting this new year underway. The schools are back in session around here, the decorations are put away, my husband has almost gotten all the Christmas goodies eaten and the familiar winter routines are setting in. I have always lived in a place with four very distinct seasons and there is much to love about them all. Winter brings out my nesting instinct and I feel like my home and cherished memories get some extra attention. This season is also well suited to hobbies! I've had many over my life and of course, stamping is the current obsession. I did, however, recently work on some quilting projects, not to completely ignore "old loves".
I'm hosting a class called "Raining Cats and Dogs" this week and it features the cat stamp/punch combo and dog stamp/punch combo that are currently offered by Stampin'Up! In yesterday's blog post, I featured the dogs. Today is going to the cats! I played with the "Nine Lives" stamp set recently and came up with these:
The cat stamp is similar to the dog stamp in that it is photopolymer so you can easily stamp even the smallest of details like fur on the mouse in the first card. These were fun to play with and I especially enjoyed adding in some Designer Series Paper for my backgrounds. A list of my supplies is at the end of the blogpost. You can click on any item and it will take you straight to my online store where you can find out more details about a product or even purchase it.
Don't forget about Sale-A-Bration too! For every $50 you spend, you get to chose a freebie out of the SAB brochure. The online store will remind you about that once you hit the first $50 threshold and then for all the other $50 thresholds you might hit.
If you want more details about my class, contact me or check out the calendar section of my SU website. There's a link to the right --->>.
ONLINE OPTION: If you don't live in the area but wish to participate in a class, I'm going to try something new this year. If you order the stamps and punches in my online store for the cat and dog, I will send you the pre-cut supplies you need to make the cards we make for free. This includes just the paper and embellishments but not the ink so be sure to order ink if you need that too! For my "Raining Cats and Dogs" class, this offer is good for the month of January. I will do this once a month as an online experiment to see how it goes! (NOTE: The class cards will not always be the cards featured in my blog but I will post them later).
Thanks for stopping by, especially if you are a pet lover like I am. They add so much to our lives, don't they! If you don't already have a Stampin'Up! demonstrator, I would love to be yours. All that matters is that you live in the United States. You can learn more about shopping and even joining up as a demonstrator! There are tons of benefits and it never hurts to get a 20% discount on your order all the time! Contact me for more details and I'll spend some one-on-one time with you to see if SU is a good fit for you and your crafting passions!
Until next time, happy stampin'!
Sarah
