This and That from a recent Holiday Card Buffet

Hi Stampin' Friends!

How many of you like buffets?  Especially all-you-can-eat?  I always feel like I don't get my money's worth because my stomach fills up before I've tried everything!  They are a lot of fun because of the variety, choosing what you want and getting your fill of some really great food.

I've taken that concept and applied it to a card class!  I hold these classes periodically and they are by far my most-attended event!  My customers love them for the same reasons I mentioned above. You can pick what you want, do as much as you want, pace yourself and have a great time socializing while you are creating.  I recently had a card buffet and wanted to share some of the choices the attendees had!  I usually offer a random selection of styles, themes and sentiments to try and cover all different kinds of tastes.   Here's a look at some of them:

I'm not going to take the time to go over every card... just know that my goal in showing you these is to convince you that YOU CAN DO THIS TOO!   A lot of newbies are slightly overwhelmed with where to start. The best place to start is with a certain project in mind, i.e. Christmas cards, wedding invites, baby shower invites, sympathy cards, etc.  OR a budget in mind. If your budget is small, say $20 a month, you should sign up for Paper pumpkin here (Paper Pumpkin sign up ) and start collecting stamps and ink spots every month that coordinate with a project each month. All supplies are included and before a few months go by, you'll have some supplies to play with and be on your way to a creative adventure. If your budget is bigger, say $50-$100, a kit from Stampin'Up! is perfect. You can make 20 cards or other projects, get some stamps and have extra supplies leftover. If you have even more to spend or want to purchase a little bit every month, talk to me and I'll guide you into the best way to get going in this wonderful hobby. There is no age or experience level required. I have regular customers who are teenagers and some 80-ish year old ladies and all ages in between! Everyone needs an outlet for creativity, down time or just some therapy as a distraction from real life. Stamping is great fun and you won't be sorry you gave it a try!

Hope you are having a great day today. It's election day and I like to remind myself that God is still in control, yesterday, today and tomorrow. What a great outlook on such a day as this!
Happy Stampin'!
Sarah
