I've been sleeping in a little lately but this morning woke up bright and early. The sun rises early this time of year and is good at getting me out of bed. I have a simple post today, one card! I wanted to share a stamp set from the Annual Catalog that was at the top of my "must have" list because I loved the artwork. I love antiques and primitives and my house is full of old stuff. This stamp set was a natural fit for me, called "Country Roads". Every once in awhile, I like to challenge myself in some way. This time, I wanted to try and use all the stamps on one card project. Here's what happened:
This is a trifold card with three equal panels. I used a 12" x 5-1/2" piece of Early Espresso card stock and scored it at 4" and 8", creating panels of 4" x 5-1/2". I then cut some 3-3/4" x 5-1/4" panels out of a lovely new color, Soft Sea Foam. It's a gorgeous, subtle green. It's a little difficult to see, but in the last panel, I embossed it the whole piece with the new Tufted embossing folder. The rest of the card is stamping. I love how this card turned out and especially the different stamp elements which evoke a primitive feel. I think the weeds are especially versatile and will be using them a lot!
There are many times you can create a really special project with limited supplies, for instance, only one stamp set! The possibilities are only limited by your imagination!
