I spent the better part of yesterday morning fine-tuning some social media I'm involved in and I want to welcome any of you that have just now found my blog! I love to stamp and make projects that channel my creativity in positive ways. I've always been "crafty" but papercrafting is my favorite at this point. While being creative and spending time in that process is so important to me, the best part is the end result. I love to make cards because cards can be sent somewhere and ultimately bless someone else or at least, make their day and put a smile on their face.
One of the many things I appreciate about Stampin'Up! is their generosity and philanthropy. Each year, Stampin'Up! adds a special stamp set to their line up which is designated as the "Ronald McDonald House Charities" stamp set. A portion of the proceeds from this stamp set go directly to the RMHC to help provide for families in crisis. I personally know a couple of families in Bozeman whose children battled childhood cancer and were given a lifeline by being able to stay in the Ronald McDonald House while seeking treatment in a larger city. Every year, I purchase the stamp set to participate in this wonderful cause. I have also donated cards to RMHC which are then given to families to use as they need.
This year, the set is called "Sharing Sweet Thoughts". It coordinates with the Jar of Love bundle which we have had for a couple of years now, featuring the popular mason jar motif. I played with this set finally yesterday and really had fun. Here's what I came up with!
On the card above and below, I incorporated the Tutti-Frutti Designer Series Paper to help give me my color scheme. In the above card, I used our Stampin' Blends (coming in June with the new catalog!) to color the butterflies. I used the Jar of Love framelit to cut out the mason jar.
For my last card, I had the idea of a grouping of jars, exactly like what I have in my house! I have a ton of antique mason jars, various shades from clear to dark turquoise. I absolutely love them and will probably take them to the nursing home some day, if allowed - haha! I chose a simpler background DSP from the Petal Passion set.
I hope you'll take a look at this great stamp set and consider a purchase, if only to support RMHC and their goal of helping families in need. For more information, check out this link:

I'll be back tomorrow and then I'm off to Las Vegas for Stampin'Up! OnStage! It's a semi-annual event designed to launch new catalogs and products and pump up the demonstrators! I can't wait to share all the latest with you in the next couple of months as it becomes available.
Thanks again for stopping by to see what I'm up to! If you want to be notified when I'm posting, consider clicking on the "Follow" button at the top of the blog!
Happy Stampin'!
