Picnic With You

Hi Stampin' Friends!
I hope you are doing well this fine Thursday. I'm pretty excited because in a few short hours, I will be on a plane to Las Vegas for Stampin'Up! OnStage!  It's a semi-annual event, sorta like a convention/ demonstrator get together complete with new products, NEW CATALOGS, swaps of cards, demonstrations and FUN!  Three of us from my stamping group, Big Sky Stampers, are going and we are sure to have a great time. Rumor has it that it is in the 80's in Las Vegas and we are still buried in snow most days here so WooHoo!  I'm leaving my snowboots, jeans, turtlenecks and goose down jackets behind!

If I'm able to, I plan to do some Facebook Live videos to share some of the fun with you. If you are not already a regular on my Facebook business page, head on over and check it out. You can "like" it and get regular updates!  Here's a link:

Now, how about some cards?  I am sure that is why most of you check out my blog! I'm working my way through stamp sets I've purchased from the 2018 Occasions Catalog but haven't used yet. Yesterday it was "Picnic With You" 's turn.  This one is super fun but also a little fiddly. All the individual stamps and framelits create amazing details and you just have to take your time to stamp and die cut. Here's what I tried:

I wanted to try each of the sentiments and so created a card around that. I tried to experiment with many of the individual items like cheese, bread, wine, wineglasses, cupcakes, flowers, apples, etc. It was relatively easy to stamp them and then use the coordinating framelit dies to cut them out. NONE of these details were fussy cut... all used framelits that come in the bundle!  This is a great personal set to use but would be a tougher set to use in a class due to all the details. I may still try it in April - I'm always up for an adventure and so are my classes, usually! I used various Designer Series Paper bits in my designs. DSP is probably my favorite design element and I use it whenever I can. I think that comes from my years as a quilter and fabric was my obsession. It inspires my ideas and provides my color scheme in most cases.

I hope you've enjoyed a peek at what this bundle can do. It's chalk full of options!  You can get your own bundle in our online store. Click to the right or click on the supplies listed below and it will take you to the store.

Well, I have some last minute packing to do and then I'm off!  I will blog if I can and for sure be back on Monday, April 9th when the Retiring List will be revealed.  You will have some time left to get what's on your wish list from the 2018 Occasions Catalog and 2017-2018 Annual catalog but once supplies are gone, they are gone!  If there's something you MUST have, get it now!

Thanks and happy stampin'!
Sarah
