I have another inking technique for you. This is a slight misnomer as I didn't use ink for my technique. Instead, I used a white quick dry craft paint. Here's my card:
So, how did I do this? First, I painted a light coat of white pain on Basic Gray card stock. After letting it dry, I embossed it with the "Fluttering" embossing folder. After that, I sanded over the whole area, taking off some of the white paint and thus, highlighting the butterflies.
This was very fun and the technique could be switched up with different colors, different embossing folders, etc. Our Brick folder and Woodlands folder would be stunning! This technique provides a perfect backdrop to vintage or shabby chic style cards. I love it! I finished off the card with some butterfly related stamps and thinlits, including some retired ribbon and glimmer paper.
