Going sideways...

I had a couple of goals in mind with this card. I really wanted to use the Circle Card Thinlit, which has been in the catalog for 2-3 years now and I have neglected for at least a year.   My dilemma was I also wanted to use the World Traveler Textured Impression Embossing folder.
The problem? The framelit is designed for a vertical oriented card and the embossing folder is deigned for a horizontal oriented card. What's a stamper to do?  I chose to use the Framelit sideways. In other words, I still used the framelit in the Big Shot as always, but cut my paper in half the long way (vertically at 11 x 4.25") and then put it in sideways through the framelit. I scored the end which doesn't have the circle flip at 3.75" from the outer edge and then embossed that side of the card with the embossing folder. I hope you are completely confused but I think you can see what I mean when you see a picture!

Here it is folded out...

That's it for the basic "how-to" of the card. I used the wonderful free SAB stamp set "The Sky is the Limit" which is only available with any $50 purchase until February 15th! Don't miss out if you are a plane buff or someone you know is!  This was fun to make and I hope to remember my design idea and put it to use again soon!

Have a great Monday!
Sarah
