Independent Stampin'Up! Demonstrator!

Hey friends!
I've been a demonstrator with Stampin'Up! since 2011. I'm located in Bozeman, Montana, but have customers all over the country. I have a very fun and active downline called "Big Sky Stamper Stars" and we get together in person and online to share what we love. My blog posts feature what I'm up to recently and I try to share new product information, tips and tricks and creative inspiration. You can shop from this site or find out more information about our products and becoming a demonstrator! Thanks for stopping by!

Houses and Doors!

Hi Stampin' Friends!
As I post on my blog today, I'm staring at about 6" of new snow and more steadily coming down. We were warned about a severe winter storm hitting last night and into today and unfortunately, the weatherman was right. That's two big storms in 3 days and so far, April is not letting go of winter without a fight!  I don't want to whine... I love Montana and wouldn't live anywhere else, it's just what we deal with. My issue is a full day and dreading the places I need to be and getting there on bad roads!

Today would be a perfect day to stay home, hunker down and make cards. Since I can't do that, I'll share some fun ideas that involve a home so to speak. I recently hosted a class involving house construction of various sorts. We had a lot of fun with some of the house/door related stamps that Stampin'Up! is currently offering for sale.

The first set I wanted to show you is the "Home Life" bundle. It features a wonderful 3 step stamping process that creates a house, as well as many other stamps for sentiments. The house shaped framelit is my favorite part as I can envision so many different wants to use it!  Here's an idea that we didn't do in class, but I thought was pretty sweet... I used the "remainder" portion of my paper after I cut out the house and put some burlap fabric behind it and then finished off the card!

This next one used the "cut" portion of the house framelit and featured the 3 step stamping process. We used the Stamparatus (stamp positioning tool coming in June!) to do our stamping!

The next set we tried out was the "In This World" set that features a door and house-related themes like furniture and blueprints.  This was a simple card that my class was able to do on their own while they waited for their turn at the Stamparatus and Big Shot!

Here's the inside of this card:

Of course, the focal point of the class was the barn door bundle!  I featured this set in another blog, including instructions, so I won't go into detail here. They loved it and were surprised it wasn't as complicated as they supposed!

Our last stamp set bundle featured the "At Home With You" set.  This is a great set that allows you to create some seasonal themes.

Overall, we had a great time with our "house" construction projects and they went much quicker than a real house construction with a lot fewer hassles!

I've listed many of the supplies we used below. You can click on any of them and it will take you directly to the store where it's easy to navigate between categories of products, load up a shopping cart and place an order. Please contact me if you have any questions or need help!  I'm always available and love to get people going on their next great idea!

I hope your week starts out right! Now to some shoveling.....
Sarah
